Building and EmpirE: The story behind the EmpirE

We are a dedicated group of gamers, on a mission to bring video games to life. We are interested in using some of the ideas and themes from the HALO universe and bringing them to life via laser tag simulation. Our mission is not to condone violence of any kind, actually there are several rules against it within the by-laws of our Clan. We play on private property in order to reduce concern around the community or cause any unnecessary noise in the area.

Death Is Certain began its roots as a HALO clan during the hit Xbox titles initial release. The game was not online at the time, but did have a 4 player option which was good enough for us. This led to many, many long nights of HALO and many HALO LAN party's due to the games system link feature supporting a total of 16 players. The Clan received its name from Seamless (Jeramy) during one of many sleepless nights we had playing. A couple of years later HALO 2 hit the market like a savage ravage beast. Sales sky rocketed as the new version allowed for online match making and a ranking system. By this point DIC was growing strongly and steadily to become one of the most recognized Clans in California. We have been getting our Kilimanjaro on ever since. Now that HALO 3 is out devouring records and becoming the fastest selling video game franchises to hit the markets, DiC is back with a vengeance bringing big league all stars from the wood works as well as enlisting new talent to bring a new intensity unmatched by any clan yet.

The idea for Laser Tag spawned from Ike and Eddie in early summer of 07 in order to pass the time before HALO 3 came out. After doing some research it turned out to be a slightly more difficult task then we previously thought due to the rarity of the gear we wanted to use. Slowly we began finding the gear on eBay and slowly won several bids for LC gear. Since we wanted to simulate themes from the HALO universe we need a slightly more complicated front and back sensor set up due to our home brew sensor harness which utilizes a LC Radar Extreme Front sensor with a tethered pistol as a front sensor and a standard LC v1 vest as a back sensor. Using these to as front and back wasn't so cut and dry seeing as both are originally made to be front sensors.  after some brainstorming we came up with a home brew harness that would house both comfortably and securely. Construction on the harness is currently underway as soldiers enlist.

In late 2007, as the clan began growing at an alarming rate, a need to expand our horizons was felt. So with the new year a new DiC came as well with a much larger vision in mind. Not only did we want to be the fastest growing Halo clan in California, we wanted global domination in all aspects of gaming. Thus we have opened up new squads on 3 new console games and an all new table top genre. With these new games we will be able to tailor to the needs of all clan members with varying interests. We hope you will join our fight for global domination.

In early 2008 Death is Certain took the first step in bringing the R'egime into the public eye. The DiC: Conceptual Design team got together thinking how we could make the new expansion a smash and boy did we ever. The team was able to construct a 3D replica Halo 3 map for the Halo Action Clix game. This board along with DeathisCertain.Nets staff made its first public appearance on February 17th, 2008 at the 32nd annual DunDraCon gaming convention. The con was a great way for the R'egime to interact with the public and really show them what we're all about, GLOBAL GAMING DOMINATION. Through this appearance DeathisCertain.Net was able to land a gig at Kubla Con 08 via personal invitation from a Kubla Committee member.

In April of 2008 DeathisCertain.Net and the renowned World of Warcraft guild; The Outlawz announce their merger to better the Internet gaming community. Together The Outlawz and DiC will have a much larger out reach for gamers, expanding into the PC gaming underground as the industry starts to make cross platform gaming a reality. With the merger, DeathisCertain.Net announced PC gaming support for WoW and many more on the way. DiC also opened support for Rainbow Six Vegas 2 in April, replacing the unfortunately bandwidth hogging Team Fortress 2 due to lack of players on PSN or Xbox Live.

In May 2008 the DeathisCertain.Net: Conceptual Design Studio (DiC:CdS) released "Guardian", its second Halo Action Clix 3D replica map, at Kubla Con 2008 in Burlingame California. This event also featured "Narrows" from DunDraCon and a Limited Edition Halo Action Clix Scarab, graciously donated by the Kubla Staff, for the winner.

In winter of 2008 DeathisCertain.Net welcome new affiliates LadyHawkeTravel.Com to the EmpirE. LadyHawkeTravel.Com is a great source for all your Vacation and Travel needs by official Referring Travel Agents.
