June 8 June 2008 Deathiscertain.Net is very proud to announce our 2009 Convention Tour! That's right kids, we are coming back to the best of the best Bay Area Gaming Conventions. We are still figuring out exact event dates and game details but i guarantee you will not be disappointed. The Conceptual Design Studio has cooked up some great things for us to display. We are also trying to bring some console gaming events to the Cons this year to broaden the gaming community. We are very proud to announce that the DiC:CdS will be releasing its very own Live Action Role Playing Board Game for the 2009 Con tour! This game system has been built from the ground up and will bring back some very fond memories for both video game and table top gamers alike. This will be followed by a table top board game version which will bring the genre to a whole new level. We are so excited to be able to work on a project like this and truly bring it to life, literally. In the meantime what you can look forward to is a comic book series which will serve as a prologue to the events that will take place at game time. The comic will be available online via our website and will be distributed in paperback form at least by the first stop on the con tour. The may updates have been moved to the archives. Bodycount and No JacKBacKs have been awarded a new ribbon for their participation in the Kubla Con event. A page is being added for Grand theft Auto. If you would like to join please email GTA@Deathiscertain.Net or visit the GTA page and sign up using the form on the page. 1 June 2008 We are finally rested and back to normal after the very exciting "Forerunner 2" event at Kubla Con 2008. The event consisted of a single elimination tournament with 2 rounds. Both Narrows and Guardian were set up so we could handle the 10 players that had signed up to play. The top 2 winners from each board moved to the final round on Guardian for a chance to win the big prize, the Halo Action Clix Scarab, worth $200.00. The first place winners of the first round were given special Kubla Con pins. During the finals round the 2nd and 3rd place players received limited edition DiC Gear Shirts. These shirts are directly from our Demo Line and are one of a kind. Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who played. We hope you had as much fun playing as we did watching you guys play. This event and prize support other than those provided by Deathiscertain.Net would not have been possible with out the help of the amazing Kubla Con staff. Your support was greatly appreciated by both Deathiscertain.Net and the players. Pictures can be found on Kubla Cons Flickr page and a full gallery of the pictures we took of the event will be available on the War Footage along with pictures of other events at Kubla Con. Our Winners!!! We have found some never before seen pictures of the construction of Narrows and Guardian which have been added to their respective galleries. So be sure to check the war footage page as several albums have been added/updated. In other news, we are trying to secure a date or the conclusion of Deathiscertain.Net's SF Bay Area Action Clix Convention Tour. The final event will tentatively be held at Conquest SF (Pacificon) in Santa Clara, Ca. We will post more information as it becomes available. We are in planning stages of next years Deathiscertain.Net SF Bay Area Convention Tour which will feature a home brew live action board game known as Human Action Live Operations or H.A.L.O. This is be a mixture of Live Action Role Playing (L.A.R.P.) and a board game. The board will be life size and people will be used to represent on the map.
